I ventured out with the girls for an amazing trip to Cabo. The whole idea was rest, relaxation, and celebrating birthdays! Pool time, ocean time, and fun time!
We sailed across the ocean (really just off shore from where we were staying) in a glass-bottom boat to Del Arcos, the rock formations at Lovers beach and stayed for the day. When we landed we were immediately helped off the boat (practically carried to dry sand) and then approached by guys selling cervesas. That’s what I”m talking about. Paradiso!
We went shopping through tents and tents of silver jewelry and embroidered dresses. It was so freaking hot I wished I had one of those dorky personal electric fans. The guys selling the jewelry actually got paper fans out and started fanning us! “We want you to buy, so look around and be comfortable, movie star.” hahahaha I got some great stuff!
We got massages, lunched on the marina, and of course did a timeshare tour for a free sunset cruise! We hit all the stops.
We went to The Office, one of the restaurants right on the beach, Solomon’s, another great place for dinner, and my favorite, Sunset da Monalisa.
The best part of Cabo, Mexico was in fact an Italian restaurant called Sunset da Monalisa. When we arrived at Sunset da Monalisa were were told that no one could sit outside that night because the wind was just too strong. They couldn’t serve food in the wind! So we were inside. The walls of this restaurant are all glass. This is because it is perched on the top of a cliff overlooking the ocean. Sunset da Monalisa is, hands down, the most amazing place to watch a sunset.
From the moment we walked in I could feel my mom. This was a place she had never been, but I knew she was there with me that night. I looked out into the ocean off of the cliff and it felt like this was one of the places we had called our favorite.
The food was divine. We weren’t finished dining before it was that magical hour. Everyone in the whole restaurant made their way outside on the cascading verandas to watch the sunset. I felt like I was in a different dimension. It was magical. I could tell my mom was all around me and enveloped as much as I was in the beauty of this night. It was truly a stunning dreamlike experience.
When the sun set and we walked back up to our table, my friend showed me her phone. She had taken pictures of all of us and all of the pictures she had taken of me had a bright yellow orb in it. I didn’t need the validation, but it was awesome to have it. My mom was right next to me the whole time.

I’m excited to have two Reiki events this month and Yay for 3 years of Reiki goodness! Pura Vida Reiki Circle started when I was searching for a Reiki share in Lafayette, CO and couldn’t find one near me. Our first venue was Pura Vida, a holistic spa on Arapahoe and 75th. When the spa closed, I began searching for amazing venues—venues that had a special Spirit that went along with the energy that we were sending out to the world. We found Teresa Dunwell’s Gallery of Enlightenment in Lafayette and were there until it closed, and now we have been aligning with Kelly Big Blue Barn and Adi Shakti in Boulder. It’s been an amazing journey in each of these places, full of lovely faerie and grounded energies.
To honor my mom who passed away, I began Pura Vida Reiki Circle with the first meetup on March 19th, her birthday. Starting in 2011, here we are today, my mom’s birthday month, 2014, 3 years later! The amazing women who have graced this circle, the healing we have witnessed together, and the love and support that we all share is an amazing gift!

Spring Eclipses and How they’re affecting all of us! Three Eclipses this Spring are a powerful thing!Before I realized what was going on, I kept hearing from clients about lifestyle changes that turned everything upside down—in a good way, moves, relationships, massive overhauls of websites, business changes, and overall epiphanies about their lives. I knew something was going on alright. And here you go: The eclipses on April 25th, one on May 10th, and another one on May 25th are kicking some cosmic butt.
A client who had been doing work that he knew a lot about, was finding himself procrastinating, getting frustrated, and feeling a lot of unwarranted stress. As soon as he realized that he just needed to tweak his offerings and let someone else take care of the things that no longer held his interest, the whole prospect of his career changed. He opened up and lightened up and that made room for new opportunities and ideas for his own evolution. Also, when he released the expectations that others put on him about what he “should” be doing because he knew so much about it, he realized that it really was all about him. He needed to please his own creative impulses. Placating others’ ideas about him was creating a lack of joy in his life that was leading to chronic unhappiness.
Another Lady who had a history of taking on victim energy, and so became an emotional punching bag for those who were unconscious about the group dynamics, fired a client because she simply didn’t like the way she felt around them. She was noticing the pattern, stepped back, and realized that she could own her space. She didn’t have to let others make the rules for how she was to be treated. She later that day gained two more clients that synchronistically validated her truth: to be treated respectfully and appropriately.
Someone else decided to take a huge leap and consider her leave of a high-paying corporate job with amazing benefits to make a living as an artist. She’s starting to do research that will lead her to her next steps in living her dreams as an artist. Sometimes money and benefits and whatever else keeps us golden handcuffed to a job or situation that we don’t “Lerve.” But what if we take the importance-factor away from the things that bind us there. What if we put our dreams, personal power, what inspires us, first? What does that feel like? Can we start brainstorming about what could happen if we just planned a little bit or took some baby steps?
Later, when discussing these and a few other examples with colleagues, we began noticing the energies that were coming together: Standing in your own power, walking the path of your own truth and not feeling guilted, pressured, or defeated into staying in less than empowering situations. This type of energy truly opened up a new gateway to walk through—leaving fear behind and stepping out onto the trellis of faith. Whether it was evolving from what was once acceptable into something different and new, or clearing a block that illuminated and zapped victim energy patterns, it is a special time to decide what you want in life and go for it. The Universe is listening.
Baby steps are acceptable, although many are feeling strong and confident enough to take some leaps of faith that are truly paying off. It’s okay to flow with the changes that are happening within you and go with them. It’s definitely okay to give yourself permission to make changes, change your mind, reevaluate and move forward. It is no one’s life but your own that you can navigate. Where would you like to go? Making the baby steps shows the Universe what direction you want to go. The Universe listens. You just have to start talking… and walking behind that talk.
More and more I’m seeing discernment, “Yes, this is what I want, no that is not” and then being able to implement action behind those words. Very clear messages we’re getting from our higher selves at this time and not only that, we’re acting on them without the fear that may have once halted our progress.
No matter what it is, once you feel the vibrations of affinity with something, a choice, a preference, don’t hesitate to ask for it. It doesn’t matter how it’s going to happen, what matters is that you are ready for the catapult forward. Let the Universe know and from there, follow the signs.
The more you walk in your true affinity, the more you will be helping and healing those around you, whether they agree, disagree, or however they react. Moving into empowerment and gratitude will always direct you to the flow. Be in motion with your affinity!
